Well hello there! Thank you for reading this, my first installment of many posts to come. I’m all honesty I’m very new to medium so i don’t know if I’m doing this right (?)
First of all - about me. I'm Indian. I was born in Mumbai, India. However, when I was 3 my family moved to South Africa. Once we moved, we used to still visit India once every 2 years or so, but I was young and in all honesty I barely got a glimpse of life in India. I was what they call a NRI - a non resident Indian. NRIs in India are treated differently. I was treated in India how you would treat a guest at your house. I had all the luxuries everyone around me could offer me and I lived in comfort.
So, getting to the point, at the end of last year my family decided to move back to India. I moved back with them of course. So, I - at the ripe age of 24 - finally got to experience the real India.
That is the purpose of this blog, for me to share my experiences over here as well as share some insight. I've been living outside India for so many years that moving back has been quite... interesting. Yes, that was the word I was looking for.
Essentially I’m a stranger returning home and sharing his stories. So buckle your seatbelts and get ready. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride. Also rather crowded and hot. But I do think it’ll be enjoyable! I’m not sure if medium is the right medium for this (haha) but I’m giving it a go.
As all foreigners say when they visit India, namaste.
