Don’t murder your process! Let it die peacefully.

Linux kill command and when to use the -9 option.I have been using Linux for a while but it was always confusing to understand when to use -9 option in the “Kill” command. So let me explain how it all works behind the screen — Kill command basically sends a signal (Unix-Signal) to the process whose pid is specified in the command. 2. Unix systems use signals to communicate between processes. (Why do they use signals ? Because memory footprint for signals is very low!)
