How To Avoid ‘Spitback’

Spitback represents drops of e-juice, which sometimes shoot from the coil, usually having a characteristic sound. The e-liquid is collected on the coil, but instead of evaporating, it begins to boil. Basically, this occurs when you’ve added more juice than needed, but other cases are also possible.
Vawoo has collected 6 reasons for spitback and tips on avoiding it.

1. Power up
Perhaps the power on your device is very low and, as a result, the gadget is not heated sufficiently fast, preventing the liquid to evaporate as quickly as it comes from the wick. The solution is an increase in the capacity by 5–10 W. This method is applicable only on variable wattage/voltage devices.
2. Too much juice
A flooded coil might cause a spitback. The problem solving is quite easy — you just need time for adjusting. The first couple of attempts might be unsuccessful, but then the ‘golden mean’ when the wick is saturated just enough would certainly be found.
3. The device is off
Clean all the exes juice from the tank. Fire the device without inhaling. Wait for the disturbing, popping noise to go away. Afterwards, you can continue vaping.
4. The wick is the issue
If an RTA is used, the reason for the spitback can be the amount of cotton. If there is a lack of it, a big space is left between the tank and the coils, as a result, a lot of e-liquid gets in the chamber. Unfortunately, the solution here is only trial and error.
5. Don’t be extravagant
Yes, the zipper as well as other complex coils look very cool, but due to their complicated structure, they often cause hot splashes. The easiest advice, which we are able to give here is to opt for the more modest spirals.
6. Not enough VG
VG is a denser substance. It has more ‘gripping’ properties. Try it in case of hot droplets in your mouth.
