One of the best tips on how to prolong the lifespan of your device is proper maintenance. But what does the maintenance include?
Storage
Keep your e-cigarette in a dry place avoiding overheating or getting it too cold. Spare batteries should have a designated plastic or silicone container. Put juices in a dark and cool cabinet, if you want to experience a pleasant taste for longer.
Cleaning
The tank needs washing every time a new e-juice is added to avoid mixing flavours. Rinsing will do just fine, but once in a while, soak it in alcohol to get rid of any dirt. Always detach the tank from the e-cigarette before tidying. If the same e-liquid is used constantly, washing it every 2–3 weeks will be enough.
Cleaning your coils can be done with alcohol as well. Dip the coils in it for at least 15 hours, then rinse well under high water pressure. Let the coils dry completely and don’t forget to prime them before use. This method seems to be working for many vapers, but we also encountered opinions that it might not be worth it. The flavour would never reach an optimal level.
Check the batteries, buttons, chamber and screens for dust or other deposits. Dipping any electronic parts or accumulators into water is forbidden.
General rules
— Try to recharge the device as soon as it’s level decreases to 50%. There will be less pressure on it in this case.
— Do not fill too much e-juice or get to a very low point as well, this can damage the e-cig. The taste may be different and in the worst scenario you can burn out the atomizer.
— If some juice had spilt while filling the tank, make sure to wipe it off.
— Tighten all vape components as much as needed or you will have a hard time unscrewing them which can result into a looser connection.
