ATTN: BULLETIN: FROM THE DESK OF THE CENTERS FOR APE DISEASE CONTROL:
Today we will cover the CADC’s efforts to address the mutation bug causing healthy apes to mutate into mutant apes.
First a quick recap on what we’ve accomplished thus far:
In the past month our scientists at the CADC have worked hard at developing vaccines to mitigate the mutation. We found that we could reverse the mutant traits, returning mutants back to their ape origins. We then deployed a vaccination center for mutants to come get vaccinated. We vaccinated all of the mutants we found, but unfortunately not all mutants were found by their owners! We then put the rest of these new, healthy apes up for adoption. The adoption drive continues to this current moment.
Independent members of the community then found issues with the safety protocols in place in our original vaccination center. The safety protocols were mostly fine, but rather than lose the trust of the community, in under 48 hours we swiftly took action to set up a new vaccination center with better safety protocols. We did this using funds from the team’s development wallet. We then made sure each ape originally vaccinated from the first vaccination center got a new shiny ape from our new vaccination center as well.
We partnered with some more experienced advisers in the NFT industry to do a marketing push to get additional word out about this project.
Now let’s talk about what the CADC will do to push forward vaccination efforts worldwide:
The CADC plans for some additions to the website, including a nice azuki-style gallery page with the mutant-vaccinated sliders for each and every VAYC, including trait breakdowns and rarity for each vaccinated ape. This will A) help rarity-conscious users to figure out which apes they want, and B) have a nice user interface to show off the vaccinated vs mutant relationship for each VAYC.
We teased on the first day of minting, that the CADC has developed a private marketplace smart contract for trading VAYCs. We will update this marketplace with tunable transaction fees to allow the community to vote on what tx fees get set to. We will then launch this marketplace as a feature on the CADC website.
As part of this we will set up snapshot.org for VAYC, allowing VAYC holders to vote on proposals.
Announcing $IMMUNE:
We are today announcing a staking contract we will be implementing for VAYC, and associated follow-up token $IMMUNE:
- Staking your VAYC earns $IMMUNE token
- This staking contract has a feature that will allow the MAYC owner of corresponding VAYC to withdraw the VAYC from the staking contract, even if they weren’t the original VAYC owner that staked the VAYC — this creates game theoretic gameplay for VAYC holders that do not also own their corresponding MAYC — will you stake your VAYC, knowing that the MAYC holder could steal it from you?
- If the MAYC owner withdraws the VAYC instead of the VAYC owner, the VAYC owner gets a 1 time bonus of $IMMUNE.
$IMMUNE token will be burnable for VAYC merchandise. Specific details on what the merchandise looks like will be revealed in the future.
$IMMUNE will also burnable for $BOOSTER tokens.
Announcing $BOOSTER:
Roughly one month after the VAYC mint is completely minted out we will airdrop:
- A new token to each VAYC holder, $BOOSTER.
- Extra $BOOSTER tokens to VAYC holders that also own their corresponding MAYC.
This booster will be the mint ticket to a new, related, unique collection in the (unofficial, community) BAYC metaverse.
