The beauty of life lies in the ability to feel complete without dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Remaining in the original state of mind is not as difficult as we often assume. I would like to share the story of my friend Jolly, who was always consumed by worries and thoughts about either the past or the future. This habit prevented him from focusing on his present situation, leading to more trouble in his life. He lost his job and his relationship with his girlfriend crumbled, causing him to spiral into a state of despair. When I first encountered him, I could sense the pain and suffering he was enduring, and I realized the depth of his condition. However, instead of immediately confronting him about his severe problems, I chose to spend time with him on a daily basis.

One day, I suggested that we take a walk to the riverside, a place where he used to frequent. He agreed, and together we made our way to the riverside. Once we arrived, we sat by the shore, gazing at the water for about two hours. I advised him to remain silent, not to engage in conversation, and simply observe the water and its waves without reacting. At first, the exercise seemed ineffective, and he felt no noticeable change. Undeterred, he joined me again the following day, and we repeated the same routine of sitting in silence and non-reactivity. He faithfully practiced this for a week, and the results were astonishing.

Darkness- light

Trapped- Freedom

Bound- Unleash

Hate-Love

Faded- Clarity

After ten days, he called me and invited me to a nearby café. As we sat down, he began to explain his experience. He shared that during his visits to the riverside, he delved deep into his own emotional trauma and personal tragedies. The process was initially horrific, uncomfortable, and unsettling. However, he discovered a way to navigate through this discomfort by not reacting to the scenes playing out in his mind, much like the waves in the water. Just as the waves appear and merge into the water without altering its essence, he applied the same principle to his mind, refusing to be affected by the waves of thought.

Freedom of love,

Feel the power of love,

Love yourself,

Love love love love …………..and your will be free from all desire.

As a result, he began to feel lighter and more at ease in his interactions with others. Jolly realized the beauty of life and acknowledged that he already had everything he needed. He had been worrying about things that didn’t actually exist in his life, causing unnecessary anxiety and distress. Life, he concluded, is an incredible gift, and he possessed the ability to achieve anything he desired. The feeling of embracing his life fully and experiencing a sense of fulfillment was truly awe-inspiring.

In the end, Jolly’s journey taught him the importance of living in the present moment and appreciating the abundance that already exists within our lives. By learning to observe his thoughts without being consumed by them, he discovered a newfound sense of peace and contentment. His story serves as a reminder for all of us to embrace the joy of being complete and to cherish the limitless potential that resides within us. This transformation serves as a powerful reminder of the joy that comes from living in the present moment and embracing the completeness within ourselves. By learning to observe his thoughts without getting entangled in them, he unlocked a newfound sense of peace and fulfillment. His journey teaches us that true happiness lies in recognizing the beauty of life as it is, rather than constantly dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Let Jolly’s story inspire us to let go of unnecessary burdens and appreciate the abundant gifts that surround us. May we all find the courage to embrace the joy of being complete and live our lives to the fullest.
