I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce to you a new way to find, and watch videos online.
A no-B.S. introduction, because that’s our style
It’s a simple video app called videogaga.
As of August 2014, the app has effectively 3.4 screen views, consisting of:
1- a login page,
2- a listing page,
3- a search page, and,
3.4- a 40%-width channel selection page.
Video playback is 1-click, as you click on any list item.
A simple app for simple people.
What does it do?
It queries your interests on Facebook everytime you login, and then goes out on the Internet to find you small sets of videos related to each topical area.
If you like the recommendations the app brings you in a specific channel, just click on the “Load more videos” button to find you more videos from that channel.
It takes about 25 seconds to load every set of 20 videos, by the way.
(We know how to make it much much faster, but we’ve limited it thus so we can keep infrastructure costs within reason).
What if I don’t like some channels?
(Just like deleting an email on your mail app.)
Do I have to buy the app?
No, it does not cost anything to download or use videogaga. The app is free, and forever will be.
