The most famous book about slavery has been rejected by black thinkers since it was published
Heather Gilligan

Black Slavery in the English areas of the American continent was never slavery as understood in other parts of the globe.

What the Blacks experienced in the English areas was more or less an unbelievable opportunity to improve socially, linguistically, culturally and intellectually in one of the best social training ambiances in the world, possible for the downtrodden populations in the world. In fact, only the very lucky slaves got this unique opportunity. Others were doomed to enslavement under slave-masters in Asia, Africa, South America and Continental Europe.
