Varalakshmi Vratham Decoration Ideas

How to decorate our Pooja room on the day of varalakshmi vratham:

· A day before the puja, first clean the house, Pooja room and a floor

· Decorate the Pooja room with Maa Kolam, Rangoli and decorate with flower garland,fragrance.

· Draw the deity’s face on the wall, that choose like your tradition.

· Make a small Pooja mandap(mandapam) in your Pooja room.

· Decorate the pooja mandapm with Mango leaves & small Banana saplings on both the sides of the mandapam.

· Then flower garland is decorate over the mandapam.

Kalasam Decoration & Inviting Goddess Varalakshmi

· The Kalasam should be in Gold, Silver or in Copper.

· The Kalasam is filled with holy water as per your tradition.

· Then fill it with rice, lemon, betal leaves, nine types of grains, nuts and coins put inside the Kalasam.

· After the above process done, decorate the Kalasam with Mango leaves.

· Then apply the turmeric paste on the coconut.

· Tie the deity’s face with Coconut and keep kalasam on it .

· Flower Garland a vastram (blouse bit) on it.

· Then put the banana leaf facing towards east and keep the copper plate and spread rice on that plate and put it infront of the kalasam.

· Now place the Kalasam on the copper plate.

· Chant mantra’s and perform Aarathi for Kalash and invite deity from the entrance of our house.

· Then finally invite Goddess Varalakshmi inside to your pooja room and start the varalakshmi pooja.

🙏 On the time puja, Chant the mantra (108 times)

“Sarva mangala maangalyae

Vishnu-vakshasthalaayae

Aavaahayaami daeveetavaam

Abheeshta phaladaa bhava

Asmin kalashae varalakshmeem aavaaahayaami”
