Well, thinking helps me align my actions better. For instance, thinking about something silly as 'what is my boss thinking?’ will help me handle the meeting better. Thinking if a person loves me helps me control my emotions towards that person. Thinking about so many people who have worse life than me helps me come out with ideas that could possibly change the way things are.
In my opinion, thinking is not wrong. And it is something we are programmed for. However, the difference comes when you choose between between sympathetic thinking and empathetic thinking. If you find yourself left with only thinking about something, do something about it to stop thinking.
