How the Air Baltic cheats the clients and why it is a dangerous company.

My business activities are more than 50 countries. Therefore I have to fly a lot. I usually don’t use the services of Air Baltic, but during last two month, I just had to fly with it. Unfortunately, I had to disappoint with its services, and I would love to share it.

My last trip with Air Baltic was 07.09.2018 from Tel Aviv to Riga. First of all, I wanted to eat something warm. Therefore I ordered the lasagne and paid 10 EUR in cash for it. In the catalogue pictures, it looked quite good.

Lasagne picture in Menu

I asked the stewardess how long it would take. She promised it within 10 minutes. After 15 minutes of waiting, when there was still no lasagne, I asked the stewardess again. Then approximately after 2 minutes, altogether 17 minutes waiting I got it. My disappointment was enormous; it was not at all what I ordered. The pictures in the catalogue and what I got were two different worlds.

.My lasagne was totally different from picture and was very bad taste

I was tempted to send the lasagne back, but I wanted to taste it before I do it. You can’t always judge the book by the cover. So I gave a chance to it. When I opened the box, I saw the overheated porridge, definitely not a lasagne. Hope there were no Italians in that plane.

I have never experienced this kind of cheating in other flights with different flight companies.

Unfortunately, in the food industry and real estate business, I have seen often that picture and the service or product doesn’t match each other.

Why have I chosen to write especially about Air Baltic if the cheating is everywhere around us?

Because also last month I had extreme negative experience with Air Baltic. Me and my common-law wife, we were flying from Estonia to Spain throw London with Air Baltic. In the Estonian airport, I met some of my friends who were in their way to the exhibition in London. My friends had with them some small souvenir bottles of Jägermaister. Before entering the plane, we were drinking all one 10 cl bottle. It is exactly the amount what gives you the small smell of alcohol. No way it can make you drunk. Especially me who has been active sportsman all my life, 175 cm long and 78 kg healthy man.

This the small Jägermeister bottle.

Nevertheless, big was our surprise, when we wanted to order red wine on the plane. The stewardess stated suddenly that she couldn’t sell us alcohol because we are drunk:) And even worth, we bought our own alcohol to the plain. She saw that my friends have two 10cl bottles of Jägermaister with them. We tried to find out since when it is not allowed to bring alcohol bought from airport tax-free shop to the plane. To be clear we were not drinking it on board.

As my wife could buy a glass of red wine, I, experienced in wine tasting took a zip from her class.

I guess our previous arguments have touched the fragile ego of the stewardess, or she just had a bad day, seeing that she suddenly proclaimed that we are all too drunk the plain has to make an emergency landing. It sounded so ridiculous that I couldn’t help, I started to laugh out loud.

After hearing my laugh, the stewardess ran to the captain’s cockpit. When the pilot announced after while that if we are not silent, we will be thrown out from the plane, I understood that situation is far from a joke. I realised how hostile Air Baltic is towards its clients.

I, a frequent flyer, I am used to drinking champagne and wine on the board. Never had issues like that.

I guess we all have heard the recent Air Baltic scandal, where two pilots and four crew members were suspended because of they were drunk at work. How come the passenger, who paid more than half a thousand euros for the “service” cant have one relaxing ship of the wine and little bit of tasty warm food in his stomach?

I am happy anyway. I am at home. Soon more news:) Stay with me.
