Solasta competition October 2021: Crown of the Dungeon Player
I’m happy to announce the latest community run Solasta contest: Crown of the Dungeon Player. Details below. (Note this contest is not affiliated with Tactical Adventures.)

Objective
Complete the user campaign: Vel Bring Em Back A1
Prizes
A total of $125 in prizes will be awarded in the form of Steam gift certificates.
1x Highest score: $30
2x next highest scores: $10 each.
1x fastest completion: $30
2x next fastest completions: $10 each.
5x randomly awarded participation prizes: $5 each.
Scoring Details
High scores are calculated as: inflicted damage / (sustained injuries + (long rests * 100))
Fastest completion awards will use the victory screen Game Time (in-game days spent) only.
Rules and Game Settings
Default game settings. Authentic mode. No cheats. No mods.
Players we detect are cheating will be disqualified.
Save scumming is allowed but not needed.
Start with level 1 characters.
Start with default gear. You should not use accessory modules to gear up.
Rolls, point buy, or standard array are all okay.

We’re accepting submissions until October 17th 12:00 PM (noon) Pacific time.
Prizes will be announced Tuesday, October 19th by the end of day Pacific time.
Note that if we do not have a sufficient number of submissions by the deadline we may extend it by an additional two weeks. Please share to get more people participating!

When submitting your entry include:
1) Character sheet screenshots (details below in the FAQ)
2) Victory screen screenshot
3) Final battle screenshot or video
4) Your handle / nickname as you’d like it to appear on the winner board

FAQ
How challenging is the map Vel Bring Em Back A1?
It’s very challenging and intended for experienced players.
How do I take screenshots of the character sheet and victory screen?
With Steam you can hit F12 to take a screenshot. To view, in the Steam client, click View, Screenshots, and select Solasta.
For the character sheet screenshots, we want to see your character stats after you finish the final battle before exiting the map. Use the inventory screen ‘I’ that shows character stats and take a screenshot of each character.
The victory screen will show after you exit the map. It has stats on your adventure.
Note that if you choose to update characters, it’s permanent, you cannot undo that. We recommend a hard save before the final battle and before you exit and don’t update characters.
How are prizes handled?
Prizes in USD$ will be converted to your Steam account’s currency. You will need to connect as a friend on Steam for 3 days in order to receive the gift card. Details: https://store.steampowered.com/digitalgiftcards/
Please be sure to comply with your local gaming laws. Solasta is a game of skill but may be considered a game of luck in your jurisdiction. Prizes are in the form of gifts to individuals to avoid most restrictions. Only one prize will be awarded per person.
Why are we doing this?
We want people to discover Solasta’s wealth of player created maps and entire level 1 through 10 campaigns available on Steam Workshop / Nexus / Mod.io. There are many more hours to enjoy playing Solasta.
How do I play a user campaign?
In Steam, go to Solasta Crown of the Magister, Workshop, search by campaign name, subscribe to the map or an entire collection.
In Solasta, go to New Adventure, change campaign, select user campaign, change user location, select the campaign.

Is this an official contest run by Tactical Adventures (TA)?
No, TA had no involvement in this event. This is a community created and run competition.

What party composition should I use?
The map was designed for a balanced party (tank, dps, healer) and the combat is challenging.
How long is the contest campaign?
Vel Bring Em Back A1 is a single map with several hours of gameplay or more if you discover everything. It spans character levels 1 through 7.
Where can I download the map?
The easiest way is to search for Vel in the Steam Workshop item search and look for Vel Bring Em Back A1.

Will the map be updated during the contest?
We may make map fixes during the contest but the combat balance and exit challenges won’t change. Steam will automatically update the map if you exit Solasta. You can see a changelog on Steam.
Do I have to play on Steam?
No, you only need a Steam account to receive the gift card prize. You can play on GOG, MS, etc.
