Hey Chet, we feel that there’s still a gap in coverage of safe streets issues. There’s so much going on! I think there’s room for two advocacy journalism orgs. Our strategy calls for vigorous coverage of these issues with a small staff of writers. One of our priorities will be coverage of traffic deaths. We want to cover every death in SF from collision to court verdict, scrutinizing investigations and following up on cases as they wind through the legal system. With robust coverage of these issues, we hope we can help create a greater urgency for safe streets.
