What are Soulbound NFTs?
Soulbound Tokens (SBTs) are the brainchild of Vitalik Buterin, Puja Ohlhaver and E. Glen Weyl, as documented in this blog post and this whitepaper. In simple terms, an SBT is like an NFT that can never be sold or transferred. The SBT would be automatically burned if the holder tried to sell or transfer it to another wallet. Hence, the crypto wallet is the “soul” and the SBT is forever “bound” to it.
What can SBTs do?
There are numerous use-cases for SBTs and many more yet to be discovered.

Since an SBT is tied and bound to a players wallet, it has a unique immutable quality. Crypto games and NFT projects often reward their early adopters. For example, a project might airdrop a special-edition NFT, meant to prove the recipients OG status in the game or project.
