Since the launch of apps in July 2018 by Apple for the first time, a new industry is created and without much delay people started to adopt the concept of “There is an app for That”. Subsequently every business has started going Mobile Strategy. And the same helped to give birth to unicorn companies like UBER, Lyft, Ola etc.

But the question is : Do I really need an app for My business??

Well if you have an app for your business that is great, but here are the two questions you should ask yourself “How does Mobile apps is going to add value for My business” and “How does Mobile app is going to add value to my customers or users

If you can note down few points for the above two questions and start analyzing, you will be able to make a decision whether your business needs Mobile app or not.

Below is an example of a Restaurant Business currently having Dining Facility.

Let’s see if we can note down few points for the two questions.

Example Case for Restaurant

For example on average customer goes to Restaurant 3 times in a month, and that means 36 times in a Year. Here the catch is Loyalty and Convenience.

If the customer has convenience (Mobile App) to reserve a table or order Food that creates loyalty, and business owner can start loyal relationship with the customers with the help of Mobile app. Loyalty means more repeat business for the Owner.

So here if we can observe having an app for the Restaurant business is adding value to the both Business Owner and Customers. Now the owner is confident enough to make a decision on going Mobile Strategy.

This example is for illustration only, but you can start analyzing for any kind of business you have and see for yourself whether you need an app for your business or not.
