Quite a comprehensive review, I must say.
The experience of this movie was exceptionally immersive. Not once did it feel like there wasn’t enough said. Every character, and it’s brilliant how none was exclusively heroic, owns the narration just by merely being there.
You are right when you say it isn’t just another war movie. Nolan isn’t trying to make a point or make us think in a certain way about war. To an extent that we’ll all probably have distinct interpretations and reactions even to Churchill’s speech in the end.
