In2work Executive Sourcing has become the first executive search firm in Australia to harness blockchain for the recruitment process.

The national recruitment consultancy will begin implementing document verification for reference checks and resumes before reviewing their entire HRM system.

“We believe our clients will benefit from blockchain and we see VeriDoc Global as a means to provide greater transparency and integrity to the recruitment industry,” said Darryn Hall, Manager of In2work Executive Sourcing and Konektor.

VeriDoc Global will develop a new API for reference checks that will streamline processes and allow reference checks to be used again for future roles. The reference check form will contain a QR code within the report that can be scanned and verified on the blockchain. This ensures that all reference checks are time stamped and that the original report is preserved.

Similarly, resumes can be authenticated on blockchain providing not only “proof of existence” but also risk mitigation if the original document is ever tampered with or edited.

According to the Australian Recruitment Industry Report, Aussie recruiters generated $11.2 billion in revenue in 2016.
