I would be interested to hear your thoughts about using protein just for their nutritional benefit as opposed to post-workout. (like adding it to a smoothie, or morning porridge). I have avoided whey myself but now there are articles from respected nutritional professionals saying whey that comes from organically raised, grass fed cows using cold extraction method can be a beneficial addition to our diets, especially if meat is not an option. And on the other hand, there are the vegan versions. Should we ditch them all, or do they have a time and place in our lives?
