Kristi Coulter

Very interesting and well written. I chuckled at a couple parts :) However, I was a little put off by the insinuation that women who drink do so to self medicate. I know plenty of women (and men) like myself who are genuinely moderate drinkers. Alcohol isn’t our #1 priority and we have no problem not drinking at social events if we don’t feel like it. If someone has an issue with me not drinking, I could literally care less. I know that this isn’t the case for many people, but why does it have to be an “us vs them” mentality between sober people and drinkers? (I.e. the stare off at the pool) Can’t a woman have a drink without another woman pressuring her to drink more and another one looking down on her for having a drink in the first place?
