Stop finding excuses for your own laziness

After the impact of the T-shirt of Matt Taylor (one of the responsibles of Rosetta mission) I have to say, that as a woman engineer that works at ESA, I DO NOT feel offended. I find it completely stupid when I see comments like this.

Basically she is stating that women decide to follow non-scientific careers cause the working environment is hostile. No bonita, you don’t follow a scientific career cause you are extremely lazy/stupid to do so. I have never felt insulted or discriminated for being a woman. And maybe you should know that there is a great compromise in the Space industry to hire more women and to make it easier to conceal private life and career.

It is true that the space sector still lacks more women force, but just cause there were not more women studding an engineering . You should go to the Open Day at one of the ESA establishments and see how many young women engineers and scientists are employed.

An going back to the T-shirt. You really should leave your room for a while and meet other people. I do not feel offended by a comic-like T-shirt as I do not feel offended when I see “Spartacus”. You would never be hired in a place like ESA, not because you are a woman, but because you lack tolerance.
