Announcing Our $8.5M Seed Round
We’re excited to announce our recent $8.5M Seed Round and new partners ahead of our Summer 2022 launch. Read the full press release here.
The round was led by Hack VC and Dexterity Capital, with participation from Collab+Currency, GSR, Jane St., Hudson River Trading, Huobi, JST Capital, Big Brain, Lunatic Capital and other strategic angels. Our new partners are a diverse and seasoned set of investors, bringing together years of experience in DeFi and TradFi. We’re grateful for their conviction in what we’re building, and look forward to leveraging their experience and advice on our journey ahead.
We’d also like to acknowledge the Terra community for their support. Since sharing our initial idea for Vertex, and launching our testnet MVP, which had over 50,000 individual users and an unanticipated amount of feedback, helped us to iterate towards the best product possible. Thank you for all your participation — it continues to motivate us, validate the need for multi-currency solutions in DeFi and shape our roadmap.
Vertex has grown over the last few months and evolved from idea to product at a dizzying pace. Our start as a multi-currency future for Anchor has expanded to a robust derivatives platform for trading FX perpetuals and leveraged spot. The Vertex team of experienced engineers and traders have been hard at work creating the premier decentralized leveraged trading facility for Terra.
New features include an on-chain order book combined with the vAMM framework, flexible collateral options and leveraged spots, all enabling non-USD participants the opportunity to trade as efficiently as possible.
We are looking forward to sharing more about our innovative trading technology and the endless possibilities we plan to unleash, including our plans for $VRTX tokenomics, in our upcoming Litepaper v2.
Although a lot has been accomplished, there is much left to be done. Our new partners and resources empower us to go heads-down building the product and scaling the team ahead of our summer 2022 launch.
