Chemistry is necessarily an experimental science: its conclusions are drawn from data, and its principles supported by evidence from facts. — Michael Faraday.
INTRODUCTION
Chemistry is the scientific study of the properties and behavior of matter. It is a natural science that covers the elements that make up matter to the compounds composed of atoms, molecules and ions: their composition, structure, properties, behavior and the changes they undergo during a reaction with other substances.
In the scope of its subject, chemistry occupies an intermediate position between physics and biology. It is sometimes called the central science because it provides a foundation for understanding both basic and applied scientific disciplines at a fundamental level [1].
Having tools that help us draw chemical structures or laboratory material is of great help to illustrate our investigations. It is for this reason that I share with you 3 open access tools that will help you illustrate your science projects.
1.-Chemix is a free online editor for drawing science lab diagrams and school experiment apparatus. Easy sketching for both students and teachers [2].
2.-ChemDraw JS is a chemical structure drawing and editing tool designed to help you create high-quality chemical drawings. ChemDraw JS consists of a drawing toolbar and document window. The document window lets you draw and edit chemical structures using the various drawing tools available in the ChemDraw JS toolbar [3].
3.-MolView is an Open-Source, intuitive web-application to make science and education more awesome [4].
