Moving into the end of November, our teams in South Korea and LA are focused on hitting key milestones before the year ends. On the Engineering side, our sights are focused on finalizing the app’s Payout infrastructure while addressing aesthetic details and nuances. Meanwhile, our operations teams are working overtime to continue introducing the platform to more artists, writers, producers, and labels as we further cement the app’s positioning within the music industry. This week we’ll cover our latest update to Version 1.1, what to expect in future updates and some key news from additional departments at Vezt.

V1.1 Release and upcoming features

The Engineering team has been heads down on our first round of core updates to the Vezt mobile application. Some in-progress developments include the Payouts infrastructure, which will support payments to users for royalties received on their behalf as well as our ISO® analytics panels which will track the regular performance of titles offered on the platform. Our latest update to Version 1.1 saw an improved VZT Wallet section including the ability to import or remove a VZT wallet and general ease of use features. This update also included a number of general user interface improvements like the addition of a Past ISOs section and aesthetic background blurring.

Payouts Preview

One of the most exciting elements of our platform is the ability to withdraw royalties earned after participating in ISOs. While these features are in development, some design previews of our updated Receipts, as well as the Payouts interface, are available below. Please note that these features are still in development and subject to change.

Seungyeon x Walter Afanasieff collaboration

Earlier this year, Son Seungyeon, Korean vocalist and winner of The Voice of Korea, came to LA as a Vezt Korea Ambassador for a number of performances and meetings. In this time, she also visited our team at our headquarters and met with our Chief Strategy Officer, Andreas Carlsson, and multi-Grammy award winning producer, songwriter and producer, Walter Afanasieff. Seungyeon has since concluded her successful Korean tour, and is back in LA to record with Walter, who’s written and produced for Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie, Barbra Streisand, Kenny G, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and many more with the intent of releasing the project on our platform!

Casey Veggies and Wikked

More on this studio session soon, but for now we can share that members of the Vezt team were thrilled to catch up with the one and only, Casey Veggies alongside his rising rapper, Wikked.

New ISO®s

Chuck Inglish is back with an ISO for the super-produced “Break Your Legs”, as recorded by The Cool Kids featuring Travis Barker and HXLT. This 2017 release is from their first album, Special Edition Grandmaster Deluxe.

“If You Only Knew” as recorded by Bizzy Crook feat. Lloyd
After a successful collaboration in 2014, Bizzy Crook and soulful crooner, Lloyd, teamed up for the emcee’s 2018 release on “If You Only Knew”.

“Clouds” as recorded by DJ Drama
This classic track from the Atlanta-based mixtape king, features guest verses by Miguel, Curren$y and Rick Ross over a tastefully flipped sample of the Tom Brock song, “I Love You More and More”.

Billboard Music Conference

Vezt’s Chief Growth Officer, Jin Yu, attended Billboard’s annual music conference this month. During his attendance, he met with a number of high profile music industry members to discuss the Vezt platform and how we’re contributing to the music community. Here he is pictured with the legendary Irving Azoff.

Berlin

Vezt CEO, Steve Stewart, spent 2 days in Berlin, meeting with the publishing and venture finance divisions of BMG at their headquarters there, which resulted in a follow-up meeting with the BMG team at Vezt headquarters in LA two weeks later. Discussions have taken place regarding the potential of placing a number of BMG songs on the Vezt platform, as well as possible venture financing. Steve also participated in the “New Age of Publishing” panel and spoke separately on the topic of “Monetizing Your Music” at the “Most Wanted: Music 2018” conference while there.

That’s all we’ve got for this week! Stay tuned for more info on Vezt as we close out 2018- and keep an eye on the app for new ISO releases!
