What an incredible way with words you have. To be trusted fully with someone’s life, particularly someone with complex and advancing medical complications, is one of the most humbling, nervewracking and sacred positions to find oneself in. It took the love, appreciation and connectedness my deceased wife and I had to a completely different level. Fighting to maintain her dignity, mental & physical stability and relative happiness daily was one of the greatest struggles we waged together. I can think of few more worthy causes than these primal ones as you eloquently state.
