Vianaar and CSR

Vianaar is not just about building the best residential projects in Goa today. As a company, we take our social responsibility very seriously. We use various methods to incorporate this into both our projects as well as in the way of reaching out to the less fortunate. You may be wondering what exactly Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR is. Read on to find out more.

CSR can be defined as a company’s sense of responsibility towards the environment and community at large. When we talk about responsibility to the environment we refer to both the social and ecological environment. Several companies make CSR an important part of what they do and Vianaar is no exception to this rule.

Here are some of the ways in which Vianaar incorporates CSR into all its Goa real estate projects.

1. Rainwater Harvesting: Water has become very dear resource and so Vianaar has made sure that all their properties in Goa have rainwater harvesting facilities. We go a step further and also ensure that systems are in place to encourage recycling as well as maintain the water table.

2. Social Forestry: We are proud of the fact that the Vianaar brand is associated with ‘green’. Trees are planted on a regular basis in and around all the Vianaar properties in Goa.

3. Green Buildings: At Vianaar, we ensure that we look after the environment and that every possible care is taken to preserve it. We conserve energy in various ways and this is right from the time our holiday homes in Goa are being constructed. For instance, construction waste is either handed over the appropriate agencies or reused. The chances of heat penetration in the said properties are minimized due to the use of energy efficient glass, roof insulation and wall insulation as well.

4. Labour Welfare and Training: We look after our employees and take steps to make sure that their safety is not at risk. All workers at our under construction sites in Goa are given training on health and safety issues. Training is also provided to other skilled and unskilled workers around the properties and these people are then given jobs (such as electricians, gardeners, electricians) in the properties later. Most importantly, all workers are given a safe and hygienic environment to work in.

5. Tree Plantation Drives: Tree plantation drives are carried out periodically within our residential projects in Goa. We pride ourselves on being real estate developers in Goa who care for the environment and ensure that we do whatever we can to sustain it.

Apart from the above, Vianaar also reaches out to various organizations and lends a helping hand. Some of its support initiatives in the past include the following:-

Working with Goonj : (an NGO based in Delhi which provides disaster relief, community development and humanitarian aid) and giving contributions to help the people in Kashmir who were affected by floods.

El Shaddai: This is another nonprofit organization which focuses on helping under privileged children. Vianaar supports their cause by donating sporting equipment such as gloves, footballs etc.

UNICEF: Vianaar also works closely with UNICEF to ensure that every child has access to proper care.

World Vision India: This is yet another humanitarian organization that Vianaar supports.

Vianaar employees also visit Old Age homes in both Goa and Delhi and spend time with the aged in these homes. This is just our way of spreading light and cheer to those who are less fortunate than us. We firmly believe that sharing and caring makes the world a better place and will always strive to do this.
