To boost the internet business we need to think (& go) outside the PC box

Reading this news of Business Insider about how Alibaba changed the lives of a remote city’s citizens made me think: Are we impacting everyone we could with our marketing efforts for online commerce and internet?

I say this because I work for the biggest hosting company in Brazil and we still only have a little more than 460.000 websites hosted in our servers in a country with almost 200 million inhabitants where more than 34% of them are entrepreneurs and 37% internet active users.

Our country is currently through an economic crises with the e commerce being one of the few segments to register enhancement YoY.

Having said that, I look for actions like that one in China and see a future where creativity and education together can accelerate the access to the online tools we can use to boost the economy and help the SMB’s.

Google knows it and send theirs contributors to help every business establishment map themselves and start to be found by their search engine. Later, they can offer them solutions in mapping like this.

In conclusion, isn’t it time to improve the process of thinking & acting really outside? If you want to boost the internet and make business on it, maybe it’s time to get your face out of the screen and go outside. There are millions who need us.
