This. The ennui of solipsism as a self-limiting feedback loop. So glad it’s “over” and this before the poor fat lady on welfare even begins to sing (but Maya Angelou knew why the caged bird sang, though.) And Sartre, with all his existential nausea, wasn’t wearing cat eyes looking emo glam and posting selfies on Instagram. Thank you for the story. Brilliant look at the cultural phenomenon.
