Reading 100+ Books a Year to “Upgrade” Yourself is a Complete Waste of Time

At the beginning of the year, I set a goal to read one book per week. It didn’t take me long to fail at that goal, but not because of time or willpower, but because too many books were messages I’d heard before. Even within the covers of one book, it often sounded like a bad lecturer who couldn’t stop repeating himself. This year, I’ve read a lot, but I’ve also tossed many books aside. I will no longer read a book because it is a bestseller. I will only read books from which I can learn, and that I truly enjoy.
