There are many different ways of being male. Your son sounds very aesthetic, he appreciates beauty and may become an artist. I agree it is very narrow minded to make judgements about his future sexuality at age 5 on the basis of his liking certain colours!. His tastes may change considerably over the years. I was a tomboyish little girl but very much a girl and am now happily married (to a man, I am heterosexual) with two children. I am still not into wearing pink! My one daughter is a tomboy and the other is into make -up and all things ‘feminine’. As they have now matured into teenagers they are both heterosexual girls, they just have different taste in how to express being female.
