The biopolitics of desire and neo-nazi fashion icons
Flavia Dzodan

In my previous comment I mentioned Robert Jay Lifton; however, I have discovered that Steve Hassan’s work is easier to read and geared toward applying to a broad variety of undue influence groups. It is heavily based on Lifton’s.

One point I failed to raise is that Nazi style does more than make the Nazi sexually and politically appealing to outsiders. Getting the Nazis to copy the style is a facet of a broader scheme of controlling the Nazis themselves. As an expression of overlaying the individual’s true self with a new personality that fits the elite Nazi milieu, looking like a Nazi is a part of choosing to think like one. In simpler terms, cult members clone their leader.

Thank you very much for the work you are doing.
