It has been a very weird day. (Billfold LJ alert.) I found out last night that my dad has terminal cancer so my 1 thing was to book airfare home. (If anyone was wondering, two last minute cross-country tickets and a rental car ran me $2300. My credit card is crying, and so am I.) Softening the financial blow but making my day VERY STRANGE, I was promoted a major step and received a 12% raise today. I have one more work task before I can relocate my endless crying to the wine aisle and/or my couch.
