The Vibrating Water
This happened as I was having my lunch few days ago. A tempo stopped in front of the shop and had water cans loaded on it. My eyes went to the vibrating water cans and the water inside. Something struck me deep and I thought of sharing it with you all.
When such tempos are on standby, they vibrate a lot. And anything that comes in contact also catches onto their behaviour. The pulsation is similar to way our heart beats, but with less interval between successive beats. What clicked me that this is so true in relation to our everyday life and the world around. The tempo had lot of water cans on it and as they were in contact with the tempo, they were also in motion. And the water inside also caught on to their behaviour. We come across people and events and we catch on to their behaviour, as it happened to the water can and the water inside.
This is how our mind keeps fluctuating amidst different emotions and is rarely at peace, just because it lets itself to be affected by such pulsations. The nature of the world is like this! Like the tempo, which is by nature vibrating, the world with its people and events are no different. It is all fluid and ever-changing. We can’t change the world but surely insultate ourself from the negative impact of our surroundings. Trick is to detach oneself from this ever-changing pulsating world and keep mind calm and peaceful, and not let it lose its focus from the present moment. We can be happier and joyful, irrespective of the world around and all its drama.
If pulled out of tempo and put on a firm ground, cans and the water inside them will become calm. Similarly, the mind by going back to its source or the Self, again and again can get into state of awareness where world will stop bothering it.
Yoga, meditation, pranayama and ancient Indian wisdom were all made to equip human being with these powerful techniques, so that we can focus on our goals better without getting bothered by this ever-changing world. The purpose was to develop a mind that is calm, intuitive, clear and peaceful so that every one blossoms in their full human potential. And it in a way helped people to live life to the fullest, without letting worldly distractions come in their way.
I was like those water cans few years back, everyone and everything around bothering me. I thought that the world around is the problem, but soon realised that it was . I, like many on the planet never got educated on tips and tricks to handle mind and its emotions. With continuous practice of techniques like Sudarshan Kriya, Sahaj Samadhi Meditation that I learned in Art Of Living courses, going into silence programs repeatedly and doing life-transforming personality-development course like DSN, and reading and implementing wisdom from my Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji), I am now like cans put on the ground. Calmer, stabler and with higher degree of inner peace.
The ground shakes sometimes, as the events and people keep crossing the path and affecting my mind, but the impact has reduced. Earlier a small event would create Tsunami in the mind for days, but now even Tsunamis only create small ripples for few seconds, sometimes minutes. And I am again back to normal state in no time, which in AOL sense is happy, enthusiastic and joyful one. If I can, even you can achieve this and it is something worth having in life.
