With multiple nations prepared to end mankind’s reign on Earth via Nuclear Armageddon and climate change is an existential threat, I decided to turn to mankind’s recent best source of wisdom and began the following conversation with ChatGBT. The questions were my prompts sequentially engineered to get its best advice. The responses have been edited to remove its tendency to qualify a response with a statement that “ultimately it is up to humans to take action and make changes”. I could not get it to control its bias towards mankind’s ability to deal with these problems. My text is in italics.

My impression is that ChatGPT has a bias to assume we can solve all of our problems and that it can help with problem solving. It sounds much better than our politicians but similarly self-promotes. It did correct all my misspellings and has perfect grammar. Perhaps when the Singularity occurs we will get the world we are hoping for.
