Vicostone was established in 2002. With over 15 years of construction and growth, it has become a widely known international brand. It is one of the world’s four largest luxury quartz stone producers. Vicostone’s products belong to a high-class product line. Vicostone’s market orientation is mainly export. With the right strategy and clear orientation, the Vicostone brand is increasingly affirmed and improved in the international arena. It is true that the first line of Vicostone was built with the goal to provide high-quality paving stones for large construction projects in the country. However, the newness of materials and output prices are not suitable for domestic works, in turn hindering the development of the company. Those were really difficult years when the problem faced by Vicostone’s Board of Directors was not just growth, but the survival of the business. In this situation, like a ship in sinking waters, Vicostone’s leadership had come up with a strategy to steer the ship beyond the small bay and reach the big sea. This decision started the journey to bring the Vicostone brand to five continents.
When talking about export issues, markets and customers were a big challenge for Vicostone with high-grade quartz as a new concept and the fact that Vietnamese manufacturers were still not well known in the world. The first market that Vicostone aimed to enter was Australia where consumers have a certain level of awareness about products. At the same time, the proportion of using high-quality quartz stone here is at the highest level in the world. This is the advantage that a high-grade quartz stone exporter must take advantage of.
However, what Vicostone had at that time was the technological line and experience of Vietnamese engineers. But those things seem to be insufficient to create attraction for big customers in other continents.
VICOSTONE has used its reputation as a motivating factor in the relationship with WK Marble & Granite — their first customers that have remained loyal to this day. The first Crystal Salt containers exported in September 2004 began arriving at Australian ports at a competitive price, even though customers still accepted orders when the quality was modest. This can be seen as both an opportunity and a challenge for the company.

With strong improvements, in 2011, Vicostone created a breakthrough in new products, resonating in the international market by launching the product line designed with a natural effect. Especially the rocks that even in nature are rare, the “nature effect” products have the inherent beauty of natural stone for customers while having mechanical properties superior to natural stone in terms of surface hardness, water resistance, flexural strength, and compression. Vicostone is one of the first enterprises in the world to develop a “nature effect” product line. It can be affirmed that Vicostone has opened a new direction in development for the world of the artificial stone manufacturing industry.
Strategic cooperation in which Vicostone plays the role of a manufacturer focuses on developing and constantly improving product quality, while partners focus on marketing and business activities, to bring back orders in succession. That allowed the Vicostone brand to reach farther and farther to big cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Since the time when the first order was exported to Australia more than 13 years ago, Vicostone has matured and affirmed its position as a premium brand not only in the design of the product but also in the quality of the product. The sustainable success in Australia is the foundation for Vicostone to continue its journey to conquer the world when officially knocking on the US market through a number of partners such as Pental and Pangea.
In the first few months of building up its position in a very demanding market and under competition from many major competitors such as Caesarstone, Cambria and Silestone, Vicostone left a positive impression when the model BS120 — Luna Sand was put into use at City Center — Las Vegas project in 2009. From here VICOSTONE products began conquering in a new segment, able to challenge the most advanced project items.
Not only developing brands in Australia and the US, Vicostone also focuses on developing brands in other continents, especially in Europe. Since 2010, Vicostone has released unique products such as BQ100 — Super White, Calacatta marble-look and granite-look quartz. BQ100 — Super White was the world’s whitest and smoothest product at the time of 2010. Vicostone’s Calacatta stones simulate the beauty in nature. Vicostone’s reputation in the stone industry has spread rapidly in Europe, Australia, America, Africa or as far away as Fiji or New Caledonia. In Asia, although it is still a new market and has not really been the specific orientation of high-quality quartz stone, Vicostone has started to approach the most populous continent in the world with orders from countries such as Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
