Who is Charlie?

The entire world has been looking very closely this past days the dramatic events occured in Paris, France. The brutality of the actions and the consecuences derived have scared the shit out of all of us. Innadmisible attitude by a few radicals that are scaring the world. I could stay forever talking about the cruelty of this massacre, but sadly, this is happening too often to cry just for this cause; only that this time it happened in a first-class city.

What I would like to talk today is about the human chain that started seconds after the news went online, with the #JeSuisCharlie, and finished with the historic demonstration in the streets of Paris (just to add, how sad it looked to see some world leaders in the first row to be in the pictures of all media to prove how bad they feel).

Society is evolving to a cause — and—effect attitude who only reacts after something happens. 9.11, Haiti, Tsunami, Syria and so on and on and on… For some days, everyone wants to prove how worried they are about whats happening in another part of the world by commenting in their social networks. Posts, photos, blah, blah, to show how concerned and effected we are. However, in couple days those stories are forgotten in the depths of our profiles until another misfortune occurs. My point is that society is turning into a huge media platform were everyone has to comment and show prove of knowing what’s going on but don’t have to do shit to help for the cause. And if you don’t post anything it looks like you don’t care about anything and almost support the bad ones.

As always we evolve and we go driving from trends to trends. Hopefully, the sooner the better, it will be seen with good eyes to help a cause, for little it is than to just show condolences.
