I’ve never heard the concept that “progressivism” is responsible for a worsening of the contemporary African American situation in America. Can’t agree that a return to Segregation would improve their lot — was Emancipation a disaster?

Things didn’t get worse for America’s most visible minority during Obama’s years, their ‘plight’ just got more cellphone video publicity.

What do you think of this proposition — that the North allowing the Slave States to glorify their Civil War heritage made it easy to enact the racist segregation laws that lasted until the 60s?
