I am really impressed with you for taking an analytical approach and for finding what works for you personally. I have also found that trying to compete certain habits at certain times of day or in certain places doesn’t work for me. (Maybe our Dabbler minds get bored more easily than other people’s. ;) ) But the important thing is to keep going and find out what DOES work.
I had a similar experience to you. Actually I was even more ambitious and tried for 40 mins each day. But it just isn’t possible every day. So I’ve recently adopted the mindset that even two minutes of meditation is a good thing, and like you, it’s made a huge difference to my state of mind and success rate.
Do you use an app? I’ve found Insight Timer to be a good one.
