229 House Republicans just voted to keep Trump’s tax returns secret
Judd Legum

A majority of Americans want Trump to release his tax returns. They want to know where his income has been coming from, to whom he’s beholden, and what tax dodges he’s been using to avoid paying taxes (unless, of course, he’s actually been paying them — that would be nice to know, too).

A majority of Americans want an independent investigation into what role, if any, Russia played in our presidential election, who knew about it, and who worked with them.

If Congressional Republicans insist on keeping everything in the dark, they do so at their own peril. Midterms are coming, and we’ll make certain that voters remember.
