Are you saying that nobody should be forced to testify? Please explain your comment.
We do have certain protections that allow some people to legally avoid being subpoenaed to testify, such as not being able to force someone to testify against their spouse. But even the 5th Amendment doesn’t give that protection — just that a person has the right to avoid answering certain questions during testimony that would be self-incriminating. And if one has been granted a pardon for their past activities, what would there be to incriminate?
