None of that is an answer to the question.

At this point, Trump will surely insist that anyone he appoints to head the FBI meet one main requirement of his — that the FBI shut down any investigation into the matter of possible collusion with Russia by him or his campaign. So the FBI is out.

An independent prosecutor chosen by a bipartisan panel (equal number of Democrats and Republicans) will be the only way we can get an investigation that the American people could possibly trust.
