Glenn’s desperation is showing. He’s way behind Bennett in the polls, so he’s going for broke — making up sh*t just to rev up what support he has.
In the first place, the Orlando shooting was not as much an act of political terrorism as it was the act of a mentally deranged, closeted, self-loathing gay guy who just happened to be Muslim. Yes, he “pledged allegiance to ISIS” during his rambling rants at the event. He also pledged allegiance to the al-Nusra Front, a group at odds with ISIS, which pretty much destroyed his credibility for having actual “allegiance” anywhere.
In the second place, Glenn has absolutely no evidence to back up his claim, and his accusation is based purely on speculation. “It sounds like there might be some political things happening where they’re given direction to look a different way” isn’t evidence of anything. That’s just “I have to find something baseless with which to bash the President.” Not that this matters to his rabid fans — most of whom lack critical thinking skills anyway.
