Hillary Clinton never had the power to pardon herself either. Moreover, her activities were investigated by the FBI and no wrongdoing was found on her part. False comparison.
As far as the Constitution goes, you are correct that it doesn’t specifically say that the President cannot pardon himself. But your interpretation of that is creative, to say the least. If Trump tries this (and just because he’s asked his advisors about this doesn’t mean he has definite plans to do so), we’ll see if the Supreme Court agrees with your creativity.
