I have always been a fan of ranked choice (or “instant runoff”) voting. Not only would most elections ultimately be decided by a majority (rather than a plurality), but people who really prefer a minor party candidate could vote for that candidate without feeling that they were “throwing their vote away”. This would enable minor parties to grow and gain greater voices in our election process.

I also recognize that both the Democratic and Republican parties like the power they have now, and aren’t about to agree to share it with anyone else. So they will fight tooth and nail to quash any effort any state might have to implement ranked choice voting. Probably one of the few issues where those two parties would agree and work together.
