I see you completely swallowed the fairy tale from the right that giving the rich huge tax cuts will stimulate the economy, provide jobs for everyone, and have unicorns pooping rainbows everywhere.
That’s a fantasy. Not reality.

Now, about healthcare and rising costs. It’s true that healthcare costs will continue to rise, and they will do so with the ACA, the AHCA, or no system at all. Why? And why does the United States have the highest cost per capita for healthcare, with less to show for it than other developed countries? It’s because profit for insurance companies is still a huge part of the supply chain. Eliminating this will bring costs down. We can do this with a single-payer plan. Or we can mitigate the effects of making obscene profits by providing meaningful competition, which is what a government-provided, non-profit public option would do.
