Impeachment can remove a President from office (if convicted by the Senate), but there’s no jail penalty involved. Only a regular criminal court can do that. If the President commits an actual crime, why do you think he should be immune from going to jail?
And why in the world are you defending the President’s right to pardon himself if he’s committed a crime? Would you be this defensive if we were talking about a Democratic President, such as President Hillary Clinton? Do you think if she was President and committed a crime, that she should be immune from any penalty for it, other than getting removed from office? Or do you think criminal activities are only acceptable for your god, Trump? I dare you to answer me on this one.
