It’s good that an official repeal or repeal/replace-with-something-horrible is off the table for now (yes, they will probably hold a vote on the House bill, but we already know that’s not going to pass).
However, this isn’t going to stop the Republicans in general (and Trump in particular) to try to knock the legs out of the ACA stool in order to cause its collapse. Little things — like reducing subsidies for insurers for participation in the exchanges, the IRS looking the other way when it comes to the mandates, failure to advertise the enrollment period, etc. Their mission is to sabotage the ACA without leaving obvious footprints.
And once the ACA has collapsed, they’ll try again, knowing that selling oxygen to someone who is in an airless room is a lot easier than selling it to someone outdoors.
