However, anyone who makes the claim that allowing people to use the bathroom fitting their gender identity will allow in “perverts and pedophiles” certainly is. What in the world are you afraid of? Transgender people have been using the public restrooms matching their gender identity ever since there have been transgender people (and probably since there have been public restrooms). Has there been an epidemic of transgender people committing sexual assault in public restrooms?

Any “pervert” or “pedophile” determined to enter a restroom to commit a crime is going to do it no matter what the bathroom policy or the law is. However, most sexual offenders prefer to do their dirty work in places other than restrooms. Places where they’re less likely to be interrupted.
