OK — but if you choose not to buy insurance, and you have a heart attack that lands your sorry ass in the ER, who do you think should pay the six-figure bill you’re going to run up? Do you have that kind of money?

As long as the law requires you to be treated if you have an emergency condition, we should have the right to require you be able to pay for it. And unless you’re independently wealthy, that means having insurance.
