So far, it appears that all Trump has done on this subject is float the question about pardons of himself and/or his inner circle to his advisors.
Let’s hope that his advisors give him good advice on this one, and explain to him both the legal and political ramifications of doing so.
If for any reason Trump chooses to go against sensibility and goes hog-wild with the pardon pen, it would be interesting to see if he could get out of the resulting legal quagmire with his usual approach — lots of money, lots of lawyers, and lots of tweets.
