That doesn’t address the fact that Trump has made a big thing about “consequences” of taking jobs out of the country. What are the consequences here? Seven million dollars in tax breaks to keep a few jobs while a bunch more leave without penalty?

Granted, Trump isn’t President yet, and doesn’t have any power to implement tariffs or taxes (even the tax breaks he negotiated aren’t from him — the person with the power to effect those is his veep-elect, but only because he happens to be the Governor of Indiana). Trump may also discover that being President won’t give him that much more power to do these things, as tariffs and taxes are handled by Congress. So is this how he’s going to do his job? “Save” jobs by buying them? Wonder how long that will last?
